Pharmaceutical Research Company
Business Problem: A major
pharmaceutical research company wanted to optimize sales
by aligning its product categories with customer purchasing
habits. The Company also wanted to track the interaction
between its sales force and customer base over time,
location, and product category to create an effective
promotional campaign strategy.
Solution: Using Hyperion Essbase
and Oracle, On Target Technologies, Inc. (OTT) designed
and implemented a powerful OLAP application that helped
the Company understand its data better, improve sales
force efficiency and answer management's strategic marketing
concerns. Both management and the sales force are able
to access the database "24/7" thanks to its
web-enabled, multi-tiered architecture.

Domestic Airline
Business Problem: The Company's
new ERP system, composed of dozens of strategic business
system components, was unable to properly analyze the
millions of transactional records within its rapidly
growing databases. Without accurate data, strategic
planning, forecasting activities, and closing cycles
were affected.
Solution: On Target Technologies,
Inc. redesigned an existing Hyperion Essbase application
to better analyze the Company's SAP data in a much more
timely manner. The new system was able to access daily
information from SAP as well as from many other concurrently
online systems. This allowed for rapid and accurate consolidations
of business intelligence data, providing financial reporting, forecasting
and planning functionality.

Financial Services Firm
Business Problem: The firm
was unable to research its mutual fund sales data in
a timely manner because of technical limitations in
their existing software. Analysts needed to make repeated
requests to IT, then manually collate data in Excel
to complete their work.
Solution: On Target Technologies,
Inc. designed an application that allowed analysts to
complete their analysis in an Essbase model. By dynamically
recreating the model each day and providing measures
that were previously calculated in Excel, advanced analysis
was possible. Business analysis was done in a more timely
fashion and management could respond more quickly to
market forces.
